Converting a video/movie file?

Wants World Peace:) asked:
I’m trying to upload a few videos to youtube, but the files are written in .PDS (powerdirector script)
I attached them to an email just so I could work on my laptop instead of desktop- it had no effect on the files.
When I tried to upload them, youtube couldn’t read the file.. in fact NOTHING can. Not even Movavi, I video converter software.
So what the heck do I do?
I’m kind of pissed, because now all these videos are useless.
